Reed Diffuser Home Fragrance Packaging

For those of you thinking about launching a home fragrance collection, don’t forget about those reed diffusers! Because of their soot-free, no-burn, high fragrance and pretty looks, it scores high on those who want to add a touch of beauty and fragrance without the candle-burning anxiety. Here are several ideas and concepts on reed diffuser packaging. Things to consider are:
1. do you want the product inside the box to show? or are you ok with no windows?
2. what style and colors appeal to your market audience?
3. do you want a unique shaped box and bottle?
4. how long are your reed sticks?
5. have you written your “romance copy” for the front and back?
6. are you adding any decorative elements on your package (wax seal, ribbon, charm etc.)

Perfume Label Packaging… Getting Vintage Inspired!

One of my current projects involves packaging design and branding for a perfume line with hints of nostalgia, so I am totally obsessing over vintage perfume labels. Besides browsing the net and bookstores, I’m also taking some trips to the antique malls next few days (hopefully it won’t result in too much spending! lol).
Here’s a collection to get you inspired and I hope to add more… Enjoy the brilliant art, typography and layouts!

Calling All Women Entrepreneurs… Success Summit 2012 in Dallas!

I love Michelle Martin and her networking events in Fort Worth. Unfortunately, because I live in Dallas, I don’t make it as often as I’d like to. So, when I heard about her event/seminar/workshop for entrepreneur business women in Dallas, I jumped on it! This should be really cool… so pass on the good word!

(oh and you can get it for $67 promotional rate… just email me at mili@launchprivatelabel.com and I’ll let you know how!).
It’s all about connections and being connected, so don’t let this pass you by :-)

Homepreneurs Blog Talk… Blogging About Starting a Product Business!

homepreneurs-blog

Not like I have any time to do a new blog, BUT, I truly felt the need to create some sort of platform where entrepreneurs can get basic knowledge on how to start their own product business, or launch a product. Some of the areas I explore are:
- How does one even decide what product to launch? (product home business ideas)

- Tips and strategies on basic home business operations etc. (home business advice)

- Where do you get a UPC code? What does your product label need to contain? and more! (product business basics)

- Design & marketing for your product package and brand

Please note that this is a quick-growing blog, and I try to add articles as often as possible. If you wish to guest blog, please contact me at mili@launchprivatelabel.com

Jamie Oliver’s food packaging

Have you ever thumbed through Jamie Oliver’s earthy and rustic cooking books or magazines? I love the in-your-face, “non-fussy” design style (even though, let me tell you, it takes a lot of fussing and time to come up with design like that!). He also opened a new chain of food stores in the UK called Recipease. This post is dedicated to the lovely food packaging, typography and illustration that is delivered on his packaging and display. The design agency Pearlfisher in London did the concept/design for the new illustrated style packaging. I also added some of his older packaging so you can see the transformation. Enjoy these and get creative on your food packaging!
